Peter and his friends are shooting a documentary in Oregon about the demise of old factory towns and the effects on local populations.
At their first stop, they take up lodging with Mrs. Foster, an eccentric and solitary middle-aged woman who everyone seems to know and revere.
As their cameras roll, innocent questions unveil dark truths, and mysterious connections are unearthed.
It quickly becomes apparent that the frail woman’s religious devotions have violent and fatal consequences, and that some secrets are safer when left in the past.
Current trends show an increasing market share for horror films. It is hard to deny the selling power of the genre when looking at the top-grossing movies from the last 25 years.
